Luck O' The Irish

Happy belated St. Patrick's Day everyone! May the Irish grant you much luck today... Don't forget to wear green ;)

Tomorrow is the beginning of spring! No more snow, no more ice, no more winter! (Well, apparently nobody told my country because there's still ice and snow on the ground)

I want to be in PH right now, helping Rosetta bring spring to the mainland and hunting for Lucky Clovers....

On a completely irrelevant note, I'm thinking of moving my Blogger blog (this one) to my Wordpress one and merging the two. This is because of two reasons:

1. Two blogs are waaay too hard to manage

2. Most pixies have a Wordpress blog, and I'd hate for pixies to have to create a new Google account just to be able to comment. And Wordpress does practically the same things anyway.

Sapphire and Jade (and maybe Sarah), if you would still like to be guest authors on my blog, I'll just add you in on Wordpress.

I'm back!!

Whew, guys, when was the last time I posted? Um... I don't remember. Anyway, I'm back, after almost a month of exams.

My schedule right now is pretty busy. I have my blog, I'm guest authoring this blog, Crystal Watershimmer's blog and Sarah Diamondswirls' blog. Plus, I also have a blog about Fantage, but I don't go there as much. Now, where was I?

Let me just tell you guys a story, a story about how I encountered Pixie Hollow.

======================

Rewind back to 2010....

I was a loner at school. yes, I do have friends, two, to be exact, but often my two friends go out
with each other rather than me. I hid this problem until my parents finally noticed this. They thought
that maybe I could find a friend in an online, virtual game, so they kept of finding games for me. (I vaguely remember my parents showing me if I wanted to play Fantage, but at that time, I said no.) Then they showed me Pixie Hollow. I fell in love with it (Literally). They made me an account. When I had to pick my fairy's talent, I originally planned on being an animal talent, but I accidentally clicked the water ball instead. But I was fine with that,. Anyway, a few days later, I realized that I liked being a water talent better. I named her Sapphire Rainymist. At first, I wasn't bugged about being a non-member; at least I could chat and make friends. But my parents gave me membership soon after. A few weeks later, one of my friends decided to make a Pixie Hollow account too. She was also a water talent named Primrose Cloudsplash. So, this begins my PH life.

======================

Well, that's it. How did you find it? Is it okay? Is it bad?

I'm not really sure if I should post the continuation. Should I post it? Or not? (Wow, I'm so doubtful right now)

Leave me a comment on your answer on the two questions. :)

By your fellow fairy,

Updates for FWYM

If you haven't guessed already, FWYM stands for Fly With You, Minerva.

I'm going to be updating my blog in the next few weeks. I plan to add a Facebook page, and perhaps a link to an Ask.FM page. I'm not sure how I'm going to incorporate it, and I might even put these updates on my secondary blog, but it will come together... eventually.

I've already created the Facebook page, click here to see it. :)

I've also been doing a lot of art, so I might even want to share some of that with everyone, on a new page I'll call, 'Art Gallery'.

I've been experimenting with Camtasia Studio 8 (for videos) and Paint Tool SAI (for editing images) so some of the results I've completed will be displayed on my new page.

Sapphire and Jade: If you have any art you want to share, I'll devote a section on the page to you.

I've always loved anime, so here's a look at what you might find on that page:

It's my first attempt using Paint Tool SAI and I'm pleased with it so far. By the way, I didn't draw the line-art, I just colored in the piece.

Also, I'll have a page about Sapphire and Jade, my guest authors. It's under construction at the moment, but will be up as soon as I stop procrastinating...

Eventually, I'll begin to work more on my secondary blog, or maybe even move this one to Wordpress. It's a little more straight-forward to use, and everyone else seems to be using Wordpress anyways..

Maybe.

Until next time,

Fly With You,

Minerva

Fairy Fashionistas - Classics ♥

Memories time! Nowadays, all of my posts will mainly be about Pixie Hollow memories. All my screenshots I've collected over the years will finally be revealed ;)

One thing I found with the closing of PH was that fashionable fairies were EVERYWHERE! All I needed to do was fly around and look. I'm glad former non-members had the chance to unleash their fashionista potential :) If only they could do that without having PH end.

So many pixies were flying about in black and white colors that I had to dedicate an entire post to them! I guess it's just a major trend. After all, classic colors are never 'out'. ;) I saw pixies flying around in the Hollow with gorgeous outfits on - I just knew I had to feature some of them!

 Pearl
Water-talent Pearl was one of the many fashionable pixies I saw dressed entirely in black and white. Her outfit is very wintery and ready for the warmer weather. I love her cute cap and her pants and boots were an obvious choice, being a winter-style outfit. Pearl's hair is also gorgeous and the white-blonde curls and dark eyes go with the whole 'black and white' theme. The belt is super cute and ties everything together, although I would have preferred a simple, thin belt to match the white stripe on her cap. One thing I'm not sure I especially liked was the scarf. I understand that it being a winter outfit, the scarf would be cardinal, but I think that dying the scarf white would provide a more balanced look. Plus, you'd actually be able to tell there is a scarf. Other than that, Pearl is definitely a winter-styles expert!

Julie
This fashionable light-talent caught my eye with her gorgeous outfit. Julie was definitely stylishly dressed. The dress flowed together effortlessly and looks a bit like something you'd buy off a mannequin. The plaid wrap top goes well with the simple black skirt. The boots were a good choice since the skirt is so short, but it doesn't really fit with the whole outfit. I would have preferred a more modern boot choice since the outfit itself is less classic and more modern. I've never been too fond of the butterfly headpiece but I understand why she chose it since it too, is black and white. Her accessories are nice, simple enough to tie this outfit together. I wouldn't have added a necklace though, since the neckline is so high. Julie's hair is super cute, shaggy, and just casual enough for the outfit. I might have dyed it a darker shade to add contrast to her headpiece but besides that, Julie looks ready for the runway!

Alexa
I love outfits that play with design and Alexa, another water-talent, definitely caught my eye. Her outfit may look simple at first, but it actually has a lot going on! I love her cap, it's very cute and ties the outfit together nicely. The Tankini skirt matches the outfit nicely and her choice of shoe makes her legs look extra long. Love it! One thing I'm not so sure about is the top and scarf. Since they are both stripy, they sort of clash. I can barely tell the shirt from the scarf. Maybe that was the intention: it does look a bit like a halter top... Her blonde hair complements her tan skin and the highlights give the outfit a pop of colour. The skirt doesn't look too practical for the winter weather, but since her outfit seems to be a mixture of winter and summer, maybe it's autumn and she wants to wear it once more before it's too cold... Alexa is looking good!

Holly
Animal-talent Holly has a simple outfit. Without the accessories, it may even be too simple. Just one big block of black. Personally, I think even one big block of black can look cute. The top and the skirt look great together and just flow to make one pretty, black dress. The boots were a good choice since the skirt was so short, and they fit snugly around her legs: chic and modern. The tie and accent on her hat add a burst of light to this otherwise-dark outfit. I like how the white is a mere accent. It looks nice and ties the outfit together (no pun intended) nicely. Holly looks like a business women with her fancy hat and tie!

Alexa Bubblesparkle

Water-talent Alexa looks pretty awesome. I love the use of the beanie hat (which is always been a personal favorite of mine) and the Morpho butterfly top (another favorite of mine) Perhaps it would have look more tied together with a chic black and white belt, but I love the outfit as a whole. I've seen this look a lot but the choice of skirt is different and fresh. It gives the outfit more dimension as apart from the simple and overused Tankini skirt. I adore the sneakers; I think it looks very edgy and goes great with the short skirt. The only thing that Alexa could do without is the bracelet. I think it looks too chunky compared to the thin lines in the outfit..

Jade's arrival

I just realized: I have to explain this story before my announcement. So here you go!
Part 1:

The worried mother waited. Where was her daughter? She couldn’t lose her newborn daughter. Not her first child.  She heard a doctor murmuring to her husband.  The mother bowed her head down. Was the child still alive?  Her hospital door opened, and a pretty nurse came in with a small pink bundle in her arms.  The mother gasped joyously, and picked up the baby.

Something was wrong.

The baby was breathing, but her eyes were shut and there was no motion besides the rise and fall of her chest.

“Sweetie?” the mother asked.

Just quiet breathing. The mother made a small sob.

“Is she in a coma of some sort?”

“Perhaps. She was unconscious when she was pulled out. I’m not sure.  It’s only been 8 hours. Maybe she’s asleep.”

The mother looked at the child.  The child shuddered. And she opened her eyes.

“Oh…”

The child’s eyes were the most beautiful Jade green you had ever seen.  The baby let out a soft giggle. That was all.

“Her name is Jade.”
No human saw the small sprite of light that came out of Jade’s mouth. Nor did anyone see the sprite float about, to a place called Neverland. However, no one saw the sprite hit a tree and fall.  The laugh was barely saved by a small gust of wind.  The laugh got caught into a white daisy. The daisy fluttered toward Neverland.
