Well, I didn't win... But I'm hoping for Tuesday!

As I promised, here was my entry...

I was Megara from Hercules! Am I not brilliant? (I'm kidding, I know there were a ton that were better than me)

On the other hand, new gown at Queen's Boutique..

Ahh.. Ahh.. Ahh... I love it! It's gorgeous and the perfect Sari :) :)

So why have I not purchased it? I'm saving... But since my birthday is coming up, I might buy it as a gift to myself (I know, how conceited is that?)

     I just adore the Chic Sari gown...

     It's absolutely gorgeous and I love the bold colours.
  
     Queen's gowns have notoriously bad shoes but I love these Sari sandals!

     Plus there are earrings for the very good price of 60 DIAMONDS!!! *squeal*

    For the Post Office, I love love love the Sycamore dress but the Pineapple dress just makes me laugh.

    The shoes are adorable and the top is cute.

     But the headpiece... Hahahahahaha!

     It's super cute and super hilarious!

     I finally bought the Chic Sari dress (Hey, it was a good deal) and now I can't find anything that matches!! Arrrgggg...

    But.. What a bargain ^.^
 
    I am so glad it wasn't released when all dresses were 100 Diamonds or more..  Phew! 60 Diamonds is a VERY good deal :)  I really like that dress and am now proudly wearing it in the Hollow ;)

July Fashion Spotlight - A Bit of Advice from Minnie :)

Yeah, my new nickname is Minnie xD

It actually varies.. Here are some of them:

Anyway, the July fashion spotlight is nearing!

On July 9th (In two days) Marina will be coming to Top 10 Servers in I-Forget-Which-Meadow to look for fashionable fairies! The theme will be Disney characters! Good luck everyone!

This time, I will be one of those fairies vying for the Spotlight! It's my one chance.. Go Minerva! xD

I've actually seen the crowd at 3 different Spotlights so I kind of know what to expect. I'll try to be there taking pictures for my blog!

Tips From Minnie:

* Be original! Marina wants to see beautiful but different outfits! Don't choose to be a character everyone will choose! There's less of a chance that Marina will pick you because they want more of a variety between characters (Although, if you have a good enough costume, you have a shot of winning ;D )

* Do not pick a character nobody knows lol (I know this sort of contradicts my first point..)
I'm quite sure Marina knows all Disney characters, but if you pick something nobody knows who it is, then don't pick it! Be original and different, but stick with something most people would know.

* Be sure to follow all the rules! You will not get picked if you do not use anything from this month's collections! I have to admit, this month is easier than last month because they have the party dresses at Gale's - easier if you want to be a Queen or Princess...

* Try to stay close to Marina... Don't use any Skin-changing Silly Sweets.. I know some people have used Growing or Firework Silly Sweets to stand out.. I think you should just try to stay close to her :)

* Make yourself look like the character so that it's obvious :)

* Get ready earlier! Put your outfit together the night before because I can assure you that the shops will be PACKED the day of the Spotlight. That's what I'm doing... Just change your hair that day. That way, you wouldn't be too pushed into extreme lag... Ugh -.-

I think I'll put my own outfit up before the Spotlight for some inspiration... However, please DO NOT copy me or anyone's ideas!

If you are stuck on which character to pick, think of a few you'd like to use! It would be great to have a choice if one option does not work out..

My First 3D Edits

Well, I've never been that into graphics and such, but I once saw a video on how to create a 3D fairy and I really wanted to try it out. My first first edits were a total failure so I was too embaressed to show them (plus, I might have deleted them...)

So let's call these my first SUCESSFUL 3D edits...

I attempted a 3D edit for one of my best friends in the Hollow, Cypress Prettygust.

Here it is...

I must say I was quite please with the outcome since my previous ones were so terrible.. I don't know why this one turned out better.

I ended up putting it into a Youtube video. I think I'll post my channel some other time..

But after that, my other good friend asked for an edit as well... And I obliged. I actually quite like this one too...

Here is the edit I made for my friend, Apricot Sweetpool.

I actually quite like how this turned out actually. I love the colours actually, they're so nice and bright :)

New Fashions of July 2013

This is a bit late but there are new fashions these shops:

- Summit Style
- Gale's Outfitters
- Bella's Baubles
- Queen's Boutique

Summit Style

The styles this summer are very laid back and outdoorsy. No more short dresses! Shorts and pants are in style which is good because I'm a pants and shorts kind of pixie :)

Gale's Outfitters

 Gale usually carries more relaxed, classic styles so everyone was surprised with what she came up with this time.. I'm quite pleased with it myself. The dresses are just gorgeous! 

Bella's Baubles

Bella Rose does not disappoint. Although some items were available last year, at least people who couldn't get the items last year can now!  

Queen's Boutique

I'm quite content with the other fashions. The Queen's Boutique? Not so much. The new gown is pretty, but it looks almost exactly like Fanciful Feathers gown from last Halloween. I love the gloves on the dress though. The chocolate brown color is gorgeous..

Pixie Post Office

I know, I know, these fashions aren't exactly 'new' but I haven't posted about them yet. I actually like them this time, only the shoes of the Sweet Pea collection don't match and the Pixie Diamonds skirt is a little too short.. The whole idea doesn't make too much sense; you are paying Diamonds for a dress with Diamonds...

Camp Pixie Dust is Here!

Camp Pixie Dust is finally here! I'm pleased to say that there will be new events and such as well as some old favorites! I truly apologize that I haven't been posting, but now that it is summer, I should get more opportunities..
I also made my way to Talent Level 23 yesterday! Yay! .

Sign up in Havendish Square and earn a badge...

The pen is sort of glowing blue. Click that and you have yourself the badge shown below!

The Ballroom gift for Members..

A glitch I discovered was that you can earn this gift multiple times! Just go back and forth between the Ballroom and Havendish Square; you can click Sign Up each time and voila! A new duckie float will be waiting for you :)

There are also pretty cool new Troop outfits at Cassie's Costume Shop... They are much better than last year since they are all different :)

Earn your Troop Cheerleader badges by collecting 5 pixies and using the Troop emote at the same time while wearing the shirt. You will get a Silly Sweet as well as a badge :D

There are Bunch badges for seasonal bunch collecting..
Here are what they look like..

To help you along with the Lily bunches. they are available in the Ballroom. You can find Meadow Grass and Honey bunches in Palm Tree Cove, Meadow Grass, Honey, and Sunflower Seed bunches in Neverfruit Grove, and Honey and Seed bunches in Sunflower Gully.

An old favorite, the Lucky Fish is able to be found again. It doesn't show up on the badges page though... This time, it is found in Sunflower Gully, near Sunbeam Bend. The water around it is glowing blue and if you hover over it, the fish appears.

And if you click on it, you get a badge...

And of course, Lyria always has a story to tell. This year, she tells the tale of the Never Unicorn. She comes every hour so be sure to wear this year's Troop shirt (You must be wearing your own troop shirt to get the badge. For example, water-talents wear Otter shirts, tinker-talents wear Turtle shirts)
