XAT Chat

So recently I've decided to make a few changes on my blog. Some of you may have noticed that it looks a little different then usual...

It's Fly With You, Minerva, Christmas edition! While I was putting up the Chat Box yesterday, (a Christmas gift to my readers), I decided I might as well change the background and header to be more... festive. I think it looks all decked out for the holiday season.

I'm probably going to make a new background, header, and author picture every season so you all don't get tired of looking at the same thing all the time... Plus, I love editing so it's less of a chore and more of a recreational thing.

I will probably also change the chat background to fit the theme of the blog.
I used the same image throughout because of my laziness.

I'm also thinking of creating a Facebook page for Minerva. I'll get to that as soon as I can figure it out..

Now, I put the XAT chat box back up yesterday... And now it's free for everyone to use! I have the orange icon thingy next to my name, to avoid confusion since I know that there are many fairies named Minerva, and that pixies will sometimes pretend to be me to scam or something...

That's all for now.
Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!\

Fly With You,

Minerva

Christmas Wishes

'Tis the season to be jolly... Except my mind and heart is still with the now-gone Pixie Hollow. So I guess I won't be so jolly come Christmas this year.

The only thing I want is... Well I think you all know ;)

Things have been slow without the Hollow. Nothing to post about. Nothing at all. I have so many drafts I never completed. (#ForeverUnfinished)

I've been pretty lazy about keeping my blog up and running with the closing of PH. It's like my motivation died along with it...

Almost. After all, I'm posting this aren't it?

It's almost time to deck the halls with boughs of holly and sing carols while we go dashing through the snow on a one horse open sleigh.

Christmas is coming! My one wish (as Minerva the pixie) is to have the return of PH... Wouldn't that be amazing? The old meadows, the old mentors, shops, quests, houses, fairies, friends... Well, a pixie can dream, can't she?

Actually, I have an announcement to make! It's not that big and not that exciting... But I thought I'd just give you a heads-up that....

1. The XAT box is coming back sometime in 2014... I've finally finished tinkering with it, with some help from my sister Echo, the resident tinker. It's all set to go! I just have to rewrite the posts I accidentally deleted... Oops.

2. I'm thinking of creating a Facebook page for my blog... Just to keep things a little more organized and less cluttered. I'm not fond of clutter. So when that's all done, I'll put the link up and I'll be able to answer all your questions (if any) on there! I will also be able to post any other screenshots from the Hollow that I feel don't really fit into any other category! Yay!

Uh, so that's it!

Have a great holiday pixie pals!

As little holiday gift to my readers as a little way of saying 'thanks'....

I will be taking requests for the holiday season if anyone wants a little.. surprise? A GIF maybe? An edit? :)

Happy Holidays everyone!

Silly Sweet Wars With Sienna

All I can really post about these days are my Pixie Hollow memories. So I'm going to share some of my screenshots with everyone... Not that anyone cares :P It's really more for my own memories then anything else.

I was going through my Pixie Hollow pictures (Oh the memories!) when I came across a few Silly Sweet wars I had taken part of :P Silly Sweet Wars were pretty common throughout Pixie Hollow... Many fairies spontaneously ate Silly Sweets... Which began a little battle.

It was fun - eating Silly Sweets until you were full, playing around with different ones to see what you could get... Fun with my friends is probably the part I miss most. Most of my posts will probably be about my PH memories now, since there isn't much else.

This little bit of Silly Sweet fun was between me and my friend Sienna Fancysparkle (Oh my friends! *sigh*) This happened in the final month of PH, by the way. ;)

Things began with an interesting turn when Sienna froze...
Sienna freezes in my house!
Hmmm.... I know my house was cool, but maybe not that cool. Otherwise, I would have known if it was a bit too cool. Normally, fairies don't freeze when they enter my house...
Sienna the Snowman?
Now this is odd. Sienna turns into a snowman! I hope she doesn't have a cold or something... Maybe my house is naturally this cold. I don't know. *shrugs*

I suppose it really was cold because I started feeling funny... Afterwards snowflakes drifted out behind me. Hmm....

Cupcakes have always been awesome. Two cupcakes, however, are better than one. Sienna and I made a cupcake tower if epicness :D

Then I randomly turned into an ice cream cone. Sienna - being Sienna, tried to melt me by repeatedly using the 'Sun' emote. My evil plan to dominate the world with ice cream failed... No thanks to Sienna. :P

Some of my favorite moments were when Sienna tried to whisk me into her tornado and when she turned invisible. :P I seriously felt like Dorothy when she turned into that tornado. But no, I'm not in Kansas anymore...

Thank you so much Sienna for being my pixie pal... :) And thanks for all the fun. :D

Hopefully more will be coming soon. Lately, it's been taking me longer than usual to write posts...  I guess I'm still mourning the Hollow. I heard a rumor that it would reopen in January. I don't know if I should believe it or not. If it were to reopen, I'd have to start over since there's no way they'd give us free membership for a month if they would reopen and we could keep our fairies.

I really hope it reopens though!

Minerva

How Is Everyone Coping?

So we all know Pixie Hollow ended a few weeks ago. I'm so sorry for not posting about this sooner, but I've still been moderating and replying to comments when I could. School was getting in the way and not making much time for me to scout a replacement for Pixie Hollow (not that any game would replace the Hollow...)

So my question today is: How is everyone else coping with the loss of Pixie Hollow? Did you find a replacement? Are you just kind of looking through your Pixie Hollow memories? Tell me, I want to know! :D

As for me, I've had no luck with a game as captivating as PH. I mean, I've tried at least a few dozen over the last week or so, as well as returned to some of the games I once played. So here I am with a list of games I now play. Note games: I couldn't find one that was better than the others.

1. Fantage

I don't know why my username is alyson345... It's just something random I chose when I signed up like, 3 years ago. Okay, maybe not 3 years ago. More like 1... Anyways.

It's an okay game. Non-members are given a fair amount of things they can do and purchase. The shops are lovely and the Fantagians are nice... But it's just lacking a little magic. It's fun but not something I could play for hours and hours onto the end. There just isn't enough to do to satisfy me... I don't know.

2. PetPet Park

It's a pretty cute game. It's really easy to level up (I'm already at Level 25, as you can see) but the shops don't allow free players to buy as much and even on top of that, members need Nickcash to buy certain items. Hmm... What does that remind me of? There are a ton of quests, and I mean a ton. It's enough to keep you busy for a few weeks. After that, you just have to wait for event quests, which are for every player.

3. Animal Jam (AJ)

Once again, animals are your character. This time, you can choose from a few types of existing animals. I have a koala and a penguin. :) Once again, free players have a limited choice on clothing and animal types. Animal Jam keeps you excited for a few days, but then it gets a little more dull. For the record, my name on AJ is CressEntMaGik. It's a pretty fun game and the animals are cute times 10 :D

So that's what I've been playing lately... It was nice to revisit some of my old accounts I had completely abandoned. xD

So what about all of my lovely readers? With PH gone, what other games have you been playing? Do you have any to suggest to me? If anyone has an account on a game I play, I'd love to meet up! :) Just let me know with a comment!

It's The End

Yes, you saw it right. Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow is now CLOSED.

I tried to visit my pixie pals in the Hollow one last time but I must have read it wrong or something, because I was unable to log in. Apparently, it was closing at noon. Oops. Now it isn't letting me back in.

I can't even access Minerva's Pixie Page. It keeps telling me they're tinkering away. I've been expecting this since they announced it but I never expected it to come as such a shock. Unbelievable.

I was actually hoping to schedule a meet-and-greet so I could finally meet all the Bloggers I never got to meet in person. No such luck. I came home and Pixie Hollow was gone. Gone. I didn't understand, since it was fine when I came back for lunch. I had misread it as 11:59 P.M. Oh.

Our only hope now, is the petition. This one already has 5, 349 signatures. We reached our goal; why isn't the Hollow saved? That was a doubt that had lingered since the very beginning. But I held on to that hope, hope that the petition would change their minds. I guess I was wrong to think that.

Pixie Hollow has gone so far and had the potential to go so much farther. Did it come to a waste of all those years spent working on it? I know Disney wouldn't be tossing so much work into the trash for no reason. There has to be a reason - I know it.

I don't want to believe that Pixie Hollow is ending. I don't. But I have to come to my senses eventually. It feels like a piece of me literally died with PH. It was more than a game - It was a form of escape.

It's hard to believe the end of such a game would ever happen. I wanted to play until I was much older. To keep my blog alive, I'll probably transfer my interests to another game, or post my pixie memories from time to time. But no game could ever replace Pixie Hollow's magic.

I just hope it's opening again.

I really do.

Farewell pixie pals,

Minerva

Mind-blown

Wow. Just wow...

The petition has reached 5000 signatures and I, on behalf of everyone, would like to thank the pixies who signed by numbers to reach our goal. We reached it. So why am I not celebrating? It's simple really: it has been raised by another 1000 signatures. For some reason, the petition's goal is now 6000 signatures. I'm baffled. What? What happened?

Hmm...

I guess they want more signatures. I don't know.

On the other hand, I was able to meet up with Marigold for a bit today. It was my first time meeting another blogger and wow. We had a nice chat in the midst of all the havoc at Havendish Square :P

Boy, it was crowded! A fairy could hardly flap a wing's distance without bumping into someone else and that didn't do my computer any good.

She didn't see me at first :P

I had a great time talking to her even though the pixies in Havendish were... loud.

On another hand, I heard that my GIF was much appreciated :P
Here's a new one to remember our beloved Pixie Hollow.
Actually, I got the inspiration from someone on PHF. I wanted to make one similar to it ;)
The fairies on the final slide are a few of mine. They're all my fairies and I wanted to remember them in some way :)

I really am going to miss Pixie Hollow when its over. As the end draws nearer, the doubts grow stronger. So I'll spend the last hours preparing for the worst. Almost two years now. Two years since I was just a new pixie. It's saddening to think I'll never receive my two years badge. I suspect no other game will hold my attention for as long as PH so... I'm determined to keep my blog alive, however. So you'll still see me around - maybe on some other game. We'll see.

I have two years worth of friends, badges, and everything I've worked for. This may be farewell. But until then, I'd like to say -

Thank you.

My Fairies ~ Minerva

With the Pixie Apocalypse closing of PH coming soon, I'd like to take some time to remember my fairies. All of them. Yes, I don't think this was something I advertised publicly, but I have tons of fairies. I'm obsessed with creating them, what can I say? So, I'll start with my main account - the one with the D-Name, AthenaGrace.

Minerva was first created on December, 27th, a few days after Christmas, during winter break. She had tried on many different talents and was getting exasperated until she reached a shiny blue orb that only shimmered more as she touched it. She knew at once this was hers. However, she is still finding her true self.

She was my only fairy for the longest time, but then I began to get bored and created several more... You will meet them in the future :)

This is what she currently looks like:

Well, her outfit and hair might be a little different.

Before PH declared the end, she had become a Member only a month before, but it had ended before August 20th.

Minerva spent July 2013 as a Member and she was so excited by all the things that were suddenly open to her. She sped through all the quests and was able to complete them all in a month, while badge-collecting, managing to reach her 100th badge.

Even though I have many other fairies, for some reason, Minerva was never neglected for anyone else. (Although, I have to say, I neglected everyone but her) She was a non-member most of her pixie life, but has managed to make many great friends of which she set up a method of contact with.

During her time as a Member, she accomplished many things, including, purchasing her first Queen gown and most importantly, earning two new fairies on her account, something she had desired for a long time. More on that later - perhaps I will post the secret to three fairies, something that can still be used.

If she was asked to choose her favorite activity in the Hollow, it would be shopping or anything fashion related. Minerva is my inner fashionista and I am pleased she was able to unleash it. She loves heading the hair salon and asking Schelly for a new look, however, it's her friends she will miss the most.

Minerva is my inner fairy as well as goddess. I'm sure I have explained too often that I chose her name as a tribute to Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and strategy. It also explains her D-name, AthenaGrace as Minerva is Athena's Roman counterpart.

Before all of our fairies flap off, I'd like to do a proper introduction and farewell to all of them. Please fly over to Minerva's Pixie Page here to help me say goodbye to her.

If you would like me to say a farewell to your fairies as well, feel free to post their Pixie Page below. Minerva will be over there in a snap to say a rather tearful goodbye.

Fly With You,

Minerva

Remember the Hollow ♥

If Pixie Hollow really does end, we have 11 days left. 11. Only 11. I for one, am taking screenshots like crazy, photographing every aspect of my Hollow life. Every gift, every meadow, every one of my best friends - all go into my folder titled 'Last Month of PH'. Although, if we really do get through to Disney, who seems to be avoiding us like the flu, we could save it! That really would be amazing, wouldn't it? At this point, it really does seem more fervent than it did when it was at the 20 day point. 20 days was a long time - long enough to make a change, long enough to keep Pixie Hollow. 10 days? Not so much.

If Pixie Hollow does end, I will not end this blog. I will continue it. The only difference will be that my posts will mainly be about Pixie Hollow based graphics instead of actual PH news, and sharing my Pixie Hollow memories with you - my readers.

And I will begin today.

There really isn't too much news to share; the Never News is full of the Famous Fairies' memories and nothing really changes. I don't want to abandon my blog, which will soon become the last piece of PH I have.

I think I'll begin by adding another chapter to my Arrival Day story.

Minerva's Arrival Day Tale: Travel

The moment the laugh drifted off towards the sky, it felt something was off. Something was different and the laugh intended to know why. It bobbed eastbound, allowing the breeze to carry it towards its destination.Flakes of soft white descended from the graying sky as the wind carried the laugh towards a small, brightly lit town. The tall evergreen tree in the center lit up the town square with glistening silver tinsel, shiny glass balls, and small lights concealed in within the tree. Presents lay underneath it, causing the laugh to wonder what kind of holiday it was.

Somehow, the laugh knew something wrong was hidden under the cheery exterior of the town. It carefully made it's way to one of the houses, where it knew a child was sitting. The laugh passed through the closed door as if it were nothing and flew over to the child. It detected something wrong almost instantly - the child had yet to give birth to a laugh.

Instant sympathy. The laugh remembered the Clumsy that had given birth to it - stony and rather emotionless. It carefully left the room, making sure to brush the child's cheek before it left. The last thing it heard was a laugh bubbling from the child's lips. The laugh turned around, in time to see another laugh floating up towards the sky.

The laugh floated in the inky darkness as a single star appeared, followed by another. The laugh swiftly flew towards a star - it felt drawn to this star by a magnetic force beyond its control. The laugh had only the faintest idea of where it was headed - to the Second Star, to Neverland.
---

Since I've continued it, I'll probably add on more chapters to describe Minerva's actual arrival.

Do you like my story? Dislike it? Want to say hi? Leave me a comment below!

Until next time, I will always;

Minerva

Mix & Match ~ Summit Style

So as you all may know by now, I'm a guest author on Marigold's blog, Marigold's Pixie Hollow Musings. Visit her blog here.

I am now going to handle the Mix & Match section of her blog. I'm pretty excited to do it but I haven't been getting around to it... I think I'm too lazy :P (That means I really have to do it!)

I have about ten drafts saved at this moment but here, my dear readers, I will post a sneak preview before I post the actual.. um, post on Marigold's blog ;)

What can I say? My readers deserve special treatment :P

All two of them. (Well maybe more than two.. But I really have no idea)

So here's Sneak Preview number 1!

-----

Fly with you! It's my first official post as the author of Mix & Match! Wow... This is incredible! :D

Even though I'm a water-talent pixie, I still love fashion and believe that it's some sort of magic itself. Pair together a top, skirt, shoes, and add some cute accessories and viola! It's amazing isn't it? Simple parts that don't look great on their own still have the potential to be gorgeous! Magic.

Since all the shops have so many outfits now, I'll be tackling one shop at a time and featuring a few outfits from each (It's too difficult for me to only choose one) Later on, I'll begin to challenge myself and mix pieces from different shops! Today's featured shop is Summit Style and I have two mix & match outfits to be shown :D

-----

The post will be coming soon! (Hopefully)
So stay tuned! ;)

Response From Pixie Hollow!

I checked my email today and was surprised to find the response from Pixie Hollow Billing already waiting for me. I'm still awaiting the response from Disney Interactive.

Anyway, this is what they said:

Hello there,

The Walt Disney Company is committed to offering high-quality, entertaining play experiences in both online virtual worlds and mobile apps.  At this time, we are shifting our development focus towards other online and mobile play experiences.

We deeply appreciate your loyal support and sincerely hope you take advantage of the free, full unlimited access to Pixie Hollow between now and September, 19, 2013 Please enjoy the special activities and shop collections to mark our final month.

For more answers and further information, we encourage you to visit our Pixie Hollow Closing FAQs here:

http://blog.pixiehollow.go.com/blog/help

Thank you again for your great enthusiasm and loyalty to Pixie Hollow!

Joseph
Pixie Hollow Billing

---------------------

Yeah thanks. Real helpful Joseph.

It seems that they are committed to being as mysterious about this closing as possible. Really, Pixie Hollow? Really? -.-

This was probably the most unhelpful response I've ever received from Pixie Hollow Services. Usually they are pretty open to ideas and are pretty fun to chat with. I guess they don't want Pixie Hollow to stay open. But I am not going to allow that, for I am a Pixie Salvation Solider.

Disney, if you really are as "committed to offering high-quality, entertaining play experience both in online virtual worlds and mobile apps" as you said you are, why would you be closing down three of your largest virtual worlds and role-play games? Why would you shut down most of the games; the games that have been loved by so many for so long? Most of all, why leave Club Penguin open? No offence, but I've tried it. I got bored within hours.

If you really are "shifting your development focus towards other online and mobile play experiences", why do you have to close Pixie Hollow, Toontown, and POTC? Does it really have to close just so you can develop new online worlds and apps? I'm sure there's more to the truth than they are telling us... Why must they hide it? I'm sure pixies wouldn't mind only getting new fashions at Queen's Boutique and the PPO every two weeks or every month. They change too much for anyone to save up diamonds anyways... If it means keeping our beloved Hollow, I'm sure us pixies would do anything!

It seems to me that people responding to the emails are just giving us automatic responses. Copy and paste. Send. Done. They just don't want to answer your questions. But we will not prevail! This will not be the last time they hear from me.

We must keep sending them our concerns and our letters so Pixie Hollow could potentially remain open! In the meantime, signing the petition several times wouldn't help ;)

Fight on Pixie Salvation Soldiers! <3

Favorite Pixie Hollow Memories ~ Sweet Pea

This is a little late but, they actually did post on the Never News again!

Fly with you, pixies! With Pixie Hollow closing on September, 19, we Never Council members wanted to take a step back in time and share our favorite moments from Pixie Hollow's past. I'll go first!

My favorite Pixie Hollow memory would have to be all the flitterific events. I've always loved Silly Days the best. It's been so fun watching it evolve over the years! It started out as just a treasure chest full of Silly Glasses on the shore of Palm Tree Cove, and somehow became all about mermaids! I've loved watching everyone flying around in mermaid tails, pretending to be "merfairies." Thank you for all of the Fairy celebrations!

Oh, and be sure to look in your Leaf Journals in the Honors section - everyone has earned the Never Unicorn Star badge!

Happy flapping,

Sweet Pea
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like even the Never Council is going to miss Pixie Hollow...

Just out of curiosity, I opened my Leaf Journal and flipped to the Badges page. It was a surprise to see that there, in the Honors section, just as Sweet Pea had promised, there was a brand-new shiny badge!

The Never Unicorn Star badge!

I'm not quite sure what this badge was for but oh well!

Hmm... Oh well, it's a free badge after all!

Minerva

A Fight We Cannot Lose...

The Never Council is gone. So are the Member Services. All methods of contacting Pixie Hollow are all gone. It seems the Never Council is really determined to shut Pixie Hollow down. It seems that they have accepted this as the end. However, they are still posting so I suppose it's their method of saying, "We're still here but nothing you can do will stop us from shutting PH down. This is the end."

I know that there are rumors going around that Pixie Hollow is opening again in January so there is nothing to worry about but let's face it, in every rumor, there is a bit of truth, but also a bit of lie. What if that rumor was proven wrong? Then you'd have nothing to fight for anymore correct? Hoping that it will open again in January is a pretty thin life-line when the Never Council and Member Services have pretty much made it clear that it's the end and that Pixie Hollow's legacy will cease to exist in a month or so.

20 days.

We only have 20 days left. I think we can do it.

It has only been 10 days and we have almost reached 3000 signatures on the petition site.
That's pretty incredible.

Please sign the petition here:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/257/590/769/stop-the-closing-of-disney-mmorpgs/
Even though the petition may not change their minds, it could help them consider keeping our beloved PH open.

Now even though they have closed down all methods of contact, determined pixies never give up!

You can email them at both  disney.interactive.pr@disney.com and  billing@pixiehollow.com
Tell them you don't want Pixie Hollow to close!

I sent both emails the same message and I will await their reply.

Let them know or else they will not do anything.

You can also mail a letter to:

Disney Interactive
500 South Buena Vista Street

Contact them repeatedly! Join the fight and become a Pixie Salvation Soldier!

Memories... ♥

With Pixie Hollow ending and everything, I think I'll share a few of my favorite Pixie Hollow memories and my own arrival day story (I do adore writing stories you see...)

My favorite time of year has to be the Great Winter Light-Up. Even though I like all the events, the Great Winter Light-Up was always my favorite. There's just something magical about the lovely lanterns hanging from the enormous evergreen. I remember emerging from Snowflake Sweep a few days after my arrival and staring at the beautiful lights for a while. It truly was breath-taking and I will miss that.

Silly Days is also an event I've always loved. Tink's comedy show always made me smile after seeing it (Even though I didn't get the badge, which was unfair...) Dressing up as mermaids was just so much fun! The Fairy Tale Theater looked absolutely amazing as an underwater paradise. It should stay like that forever ;)
Another one of my fondest moments was the time last year when Tink's show didn't go on for the opening day. She apparently had "stage fright" and didn't want to go on. Poor Tink... I suppose Vidia was no help either. Like I said, it happens to the best of us :P

My friends on PH must be the best part of my pixie life. They helped make my time on there wonderful. In actuality, that is the thing I will miss most. I'll still stay in contact with them as we are all Pixie Hollow Forum members and can PM but it just isn't the same... I suggest for you to find some way to stay in contact with your best friends - perhaps find another game you all play. My friend Kate said this and  I think it pretty much sums it up. She told me, "If Pixie Hollow comes back, I will have to start over. I can live without my clothes, house, and badges, but I can't live without my friends."

I completely agree.

Minerva's Arrival Tale: Laugh

A child sat on the windowsill, watching the snowflakes fall from the sky, one after the other. She seemed fairly amused by this and watched the little puffs of white drift downwards. The laugh waiting inside her did not come up; it was awaiting the right moment. It could sense that Christmas Eve was not the right time - the laugh had to wait a little while longer.

"Is that child all right?" An aunt whispered to her sister - the child's mother.
"Yes," She replied, sighing. "She's perfectly fine. She has always been like this - always dreaming, very silent, and never laughing. I do not think we have even heard her laugh before."
"Never laughed!? But that's impossible! Young children should be full of laughter and joy!"
"Not this one.Our eldest child was full of joy but this one gives off a cold sort of aura."
"Yes... I sense it too."

It was December, 25th - Christmas Day. The child was brought along to a production of the Nutcracker. She was mesmerized by the sugary sweets, it was as if she was being pulled into the story and was becoming part of it. As the story unfolded on the stage, the child could only become more intrigued. Although she did not understand some of the concepts, she enjoyed it immensely. Once the gingerbread children appeared, she along with the other children in the audience laughed - it was a pure laugh, full of glee and the most cheerful her parents had ever seen the child.

The laugh floated out and began its journey into Neverland.

---

I'm not sure if I want to leave the story at that. Currently, my internet is being odd so this is the only thing I can do :P

Oh right! I was also asked by Marigold Sunjewel write the Mix & Match section on her blog so you'll see me there!

Anyways:

Minerva

The Frosted Forest

And finally concluding our journey to the Member-Only locations, we have the Frosted Forest! This will be our last stop for now. ;)

Climb up to the very tip of the humongous evergreen on none other than, Evergreen Overlook! At the very top, you will find a balloon carrier that says "This Way To the Frosted Forest"
Enter the Frosted Forest..

Click on that and you'll be on your way! My fairy Echo Starsong will be your guide today and we hope you have a great time!

Enter the Forest and you'll find a pretty winter wonderland of frozen trees and glittering sheets of ice.

There are of course, gifts waiting for you there. Wonderful little animals made of ice will be placed around the Forest. Collect them - those are your gifts!

This is actually the only place that has a separate shop. It's Spike's Sweet Shop.
Spike is the somewhat-lazy and reluctant Frost Fairy from the Secret of the Wings ;)

I just had to Sing!
The Frosted Forest is incredibly beautiful; it's almost like we could see Tink and Peri emerge from behind a frosty bush and go skating!
Click the Picture to Enlarge!

It's very beautiful there :O

Be sure to stop and enjoy the lovely scenery! :D :D

I know I sure did. :)

Here are the pictures of the gifts you can pick up at the Frosted Forest :)

Tada!

They're ice sculptures of many different animals!

I think my favorite has to be the one of the Snow Weasel.

It's very life-like!

It really is too bad Peri doesn't run a shop here or something. If she did, pixies could meet Tink's famed sister... But no.

Oh well.

Echo used her ice sculptures for her house, which is being made into an art gallery.

Here's a look inside Spike's Sweet Shop...

It's pretty much the smaller, frostier version of Harmony's Sweet Shop.

The cake is still mouth-watering but Spike offers a smaller variety of sweets... Oh well.

Here's a look at the things you can purchase from her.

Spike offers Holiday sweets that were offered a while ago but are no longer available for players to bake or buy from Harmony's.

Well, I guess one store can only bake so much sweets.

Speaking of which, I'm not sure if this was a glitch or not but I was at Harmony's one day stocking up for future silly sweet wars when I was going to buy a particular sweet.

Strangely enough, this sweet did not let me buy any though I had plenty of diamonds. When I clicked Buy, it told me that there was not enough of that sweet in stock for me to buy.

o_o

Uh... That made me wonder if all the community baking sweets we make go to Harmony's. With everyone being made a Member, less fairies were Community Baking, providing Harmony's with less sweets. Well.

It was probably just an odd glitch but you never know! ;)

Until next time, I'll sign off:

More Information on Closure

Many people have been buzzing about the reason why Pixie Hollow is closing. I'm not quite sure why, but I can make a few guesses.

1. Disney wants people to pay more attention to Club Penguin rather than the other more interesting games.

2. Disney encountered a huge loss of money and does not have enough money to keep Pixie Hollow, Toontown, and Pirates of the Caribbean running like it should.

3. The Flash software Pixie Hollow runs on is experiencing some odd virus that eats up the code they make the game with and it's too expensive to try to fix or unpreventable.

I mean, either one is possible..

If it's number 1, then there probably is no way we'll get Pixie Hollow back, not to be negative :(

If it's number 2, there probably is some way of getting it back if we can convince them how much we will miss our virtual RPGs.

If it's number 3, it will take awhile but we could potentially get the Hollow back.

I just hope it's not a mix of all three.

Crystal Airshine said on her blog, Pixie Hollow's Little Secrets, that there is more than ONE reason which is pretty disappointing. Oh well. We just have to overcome one problem at a time. One hurdle at a time. All those small steps will make a difference.

Crystal says: "This is quite a complicated matter. And talking about causes and reasons, I heard this rumor lately on the Hollow's closing down with seemed quite realistic to me." She continues by saying, "Some parents think this is dangerous." Of course, we all know they are wrong! "They sued Pixie Hollow! Yep, that's right! They took Disney to the courts and that must have been quite a problem for Disney, as they were on the verge of losing a huge sum of money."

I know that's certainly possible but I'm not sure if it's just me or is it a little hard to believe? I mean, Disney makes millions every year. Maybe even billions. It must be a HUGE sue to make such a big dent. Not that I don't believe Crystal - I do but it really must have been a very big issue for them to have to close down all three virtual worlds. But really? Those parents should maybe just watch as their child plays and interacts with the other players - then they will know how safe the Hollow is!

Apparently, there's more than one rumor going around about this. According to Crystal's friend's father, "one of Disney's virtual worlds had been hacked by a very intense virus that could cause serious damage. This could actually be about those three games. If Disney couldn't destroy the bug and it affected user's PCs, that could prove to be disastrous for it!"

Of course, that reason was actually my number 3! It certainly is a possibility and that may be the reason the game is so filled with bugs lately. I'm sure we have all experienced a few - the Missing Wardrobe, the Clothes that Don't Change-After-You-Have-Changed, the Furniture that Goes Back Into Storage... Need I go on?

I think Disney is just letting the bug take over at this point. :(

The Mermaid Grotto

The second place that usually is locked but has now been unlocked is the Mermaid Grotto. In this magical place, you can see where the mermaids play. If you gather three fairies and press the Sing button at the same time, you'll see the three mermaids there!

Of course, there are also the gifts you'll find scattered all around - mermaid furniture and one funny lobster costume :)

The Entrance to the Mermaid Grotto is in Palm Tree Cove beside Schelly's. It's pretty big so it's not hard to miss ;)

Entrance to Mermaid Grotto
It's a pretty seashell and seaweed covered statue that says Mermaid Grotto.

Click on that and you'll be on your way!

Mermaid Grotto

Inside the Grotto!
On the right, there are pictures of what the Grotto looks like on the inside... ------------------------------------------------------->

It really is this huge tavern covered with huge stalactites and stalagmites. In the background, there's something sparkly with a mermaid sitting on a seashell.

Actually, if you look closely, the mermaid sitting on the seashell is the exact same as one of the Member backgrounds.

Mermaid Background
See?

If you look at the mermaid I circled, isn't that the exact same as the one in the Grotto?

Well, the Grotto is blurrier but...

Cool! :D

That would be interesting. I guess the background is modeled from the Grotto anyways.. xD

Anyways... In every place, there are presents and in every present is a new furniture or clothing item!

The Grotto is no exception.

Pieces are hidden in little gift boxes scattered around the Grotto.

See?

They're just in the boxes :D

Yay :D

(I think I missed one of them. I'm not sure, but I might have xD)

Also, in the Mermaid Grotto, if you gather three pixies and use the Sing emote at the same time, you will see one of three mermaids! Great!

I brought on two of my other fairies to help Echo along with the singing.
We saw 2 of the 3 mermaids!

Sadly, I only got pictures of one since the other was just too fast...

Is it just me?
You can kind of see my other fairy's dress in the picture...

That's my fairy Octavia! :D

There's the mermaid that looks like Sil!

Is it just me or could that mermaid be Silvermist's mermaid twin sister!

Maybe they were born of the same laugh... or whatever mermaids call laughs.

Echo certainly had a ton of fun in the Mermaid Grotto... Before I forget, this is what the gifts look like!

There may be more but I'm having trouble finding the pictures...

Oh well.

Lobster!
There was also some bunches...

Blue gems I believe.

Here's the fabulous lobster outfit you are given!

I think that lobster and Echo could be twins.

Don't you?

They would look exactly alike if I used a red silly sweet and dyed my hair.... LOL

Anyways, later!

Until next time, I will always:
